Manchester DJ Dave Haslam goes back to his Thursday Temperance Club night at The Hacienda with this 30 minute mix.
The Temperance Club at The Hacienda ran from 1986-1990 and was where Dave says his official DJ'ing career began. It was generally an indie night but had a varied playlist, covering the likes of New Order, Rolling Stones, Public Enemy, Mantronix, Sonic Youth, and The Smiths.
Dave is a DJ and writer who DJ'd over 450 times at the Hacienda in Manchester as well as countless other gigs across the world.
As well as pursuing a career as a DJ, and journalist, Dave Haslam has written five full-length books. His current project is ‘Art Decades’, a limited edition of small format books on subjects including Keith Haring, Courtney Love, and Sylvia Plath.
