Channel One Sound System - Mary Anne Hobbs Mix

CHANNEL ONE SOUND SYSTEM - MARY ANNE HOBBS MIX 28.08.20 (320kbs-m4a/67mb/29mins)
BBC Radio 6 Music broadcast: 28th August 2020

Channel One Sound System is one of the UK's best known and most loved reggae sound systems. Having taken over the running of their father's sound in 1979, Mikey Dread and his brother Jah T took the sound to local blues parties and dances. Mikey took the name Channel One as homage to the legendary Channel One studio in Jamaica.

They started playing at Notting Hill in 1983 and have played at Carnival every year. They'll be spinning the best conscious reggae, exclusive dubplates and uplifting steppas for this special Friday Mix.

Sun I Tafari - Keep On Working [Channel One Soundsystem]

Danny Red - Where Have All The Rebels Gone [Channel One Soundsystem]
Johnny Clarke - Play Fool [Black Redemption]
Yami Bolo - War In The Garrison [Tattu]
Jerry Lionz - Cyan Tan Ya [Lionz Den]
