Matt Everitt chats to "Toots" Hibbert, lead singer of reggae/ska band Toots & the Maytals, about the key musical moments of his life.
In this in-depth interview Toots, one of the founding figures of reggae music, talks about the remarkable path his career has taken.
Starting off with his earliest experiences of singing at church and in school, to then making his own guitar and beginning to meet other musicians in Kingston.
Toots recalls his time working in a barber shop followed by colourful tales of supporting The Who, winning a Grammy for Best Reggae Album and the band’s recent 50th anniversary tour.
