DAVID HOLMES SITS IN FOR IGGY POP - 6 MUSIC 04.05.18 (320kbs-m4a/266mb/1hr56mins)
BBC Radio 6 Music broadcast: 4th May 2018

Belfast born DJ and musician David Holmes sits in for Iggy Pop ahead of his DJ set BBC 6 Music's Belfast leg of The Biggest Weekend at the end of the month.

David's first solo record, 'This Film's Crap, Let's Slash the Seats' was released in 1995, and plugged into his most enduring inspiration - cinema. 1997 saw the release of 'Let's Get Killed' and 2000's 'Bow Down to the Exit Sign' was created as the soundtrack to a not-yet-made movie,

Thus, it was inevitable that he would go on to soundtrack films such as Out of Sight, Ocean's Eleven, Hunger, Haywire, I Am Here and last year's Logan Lucky.

He's also produced Primal Scream, Manic Street Preachers, John Spencer Blues Explosion and Cashier No. 9 as well as remixing the likes of U2, Doves, Sabres of Paradise and Jon Hopkins among others.
